Seems like all this bands Wetlands show are something special, and this one is no exception. Fantastic playing and arrangements, great '98 set list, and sound quality so good you'd swear this was a professional recording. An essential show for 1998.

Hearing this stripped down, jamless version, you have to wonder what the band thought would become of Barber's odd little tune, "Mindless Dribble," a somewhat "aggressive" song for the Biscuits, one inspired by, if anything, a headful of some reallll good shit. Allegedly, the cryptic lyrics refer to a bust in which all of the band's goodies were confiscated except for a small bottle of "perfume."

While the Dribble is interesting from an academic perspective, the rest of the show is an absolute 98 style rager, fully deserving of its five stars. It would be a stretch to state that Trance-Fusion was born on this night, but it certainly reached a new apex in the Vasillios -> I-Man. Everything about this segment--Magner's psychedelic swirling trance, Brownie's Shem tease, Barber completely slaying the ending (14:22!) of I-Man--is flawless 98.

The second set is a bit weaker, but still strong overall. I couldn't really get into the Boop -> Boo; it has its moments, but not as many as you'd expect from 42 minutes of it. The Barfly and Aceetobee are both exemplary standalones, and the Pygmy encore may be the highlight of the set.

This show gets an easy five stars, and with only a few obvious exceptions (Wilmer's Park and the New Year's run come to mind) it is a very strong contender for best of 98

Barfly and Pygmy are also pretty sweet here. Very bluesey Barfly. Excellent sound.

this show is very good. The Highlight of the night is the Vassillos-> I-man. the Keyboard part in Vassillos is fuckin sick. Also this is the first time that they play Mindless Dribble. It is not there Greatest Preformance of Dribble but it is cool to see how much it has changed. The Pygmye is also cool to here. download this show it a great show which you will come to love!

bisco was way more musical back in the late 90's. more jazz influence. this is a great show.

Early bisco is really cool. Less techno but also different jamming. Barber shreds kind of jazzy, and the keyboards are starting to synth out more. There are some rare songs on this show too. Good stuff, its classic to me. Magner goes crazy on synth at times, having too much fun turning knobs! Great sound quality. Vassilios>I-man is so dope. Hell yes!
